National Human Microbiome Core FacilityNYCU. Professor Chun-Ying Wu

The National Human Microbiome Core Facility uses a customer-centered approach to connect academic research, hospitals, and manufacturers, and establish partnerships for mutual referral services, providing services from clinical research to complete bacterial phase analysis of animal cell models. This core facility combines four important centers for microbiotaresearch, including microbiology culture, metabolites, animal models, and microflora implantation preparation, including National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Bioresource Collection and Research Center, National Taiwan University Hospital ,National Taiwan University, Linkou Chang-Gung Memorial Hospital, Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital and several medical centers provide the core and key technologies required for domestic research and industrial development of microbes. A one-stop technical service chain forms the backing of the microbiota technology platform needed to support domestic related industries. The service division of each center is as follows:
1. The Microbial Culture Center provides customized services for microbiological culture and the provision of local microbiological resources.
2. The Microbial Metabolome Center has set up testing units at the Hsinchu Campus of NYCU and National Taiwan University, respectively, and distributes samples and analytes to suitable testing units according to the nature of the samples and analytes.
3. The animal model center establishes an independent platform for germ-free mouse facilities and provides diversified intestinal barrier function analysis, intestinal and liver immune system analysis services.
4. The FMT preparation center provides FMT implants to service objects for animal experiments, clinical treatment, or clinical trials.
